Flying First Class (May 16th-17th)

Ok. I'm finally at a hotel with free wifi and we are here for more then one night so I can actually get settled enough to catch you guys up on how my week is been :) Hopefully in the next couple days I can catch everyone up and then keep you updated daily. First off...flying first class...

It was weird going from New York to Amman, Jordan because the time change screwed everything up. We kind of just skipped over one night in there. I guess I should’ve slept on the plane, but even in my first class seat I had trouble sleeping. We left New York at 8:15pm and 11.5 hours later arrived in Amman, Jordan at 2:50pm. But before I get into all that. Let’s talk about my experience first class.

Because we got bumped to another flight Delta had to squish us into whatever seats were open, and with 42 people I’m guessing that was difficult. Which probably explains why about 12 of us got put into first class. I was just a lucky one J Now for those of you who have flown first class before, just bear with me. This was a new experience and me and most of the others who ended up in first class were totally excited and overwhelmed by it all, and felt really bad for our friends back in Coach, who still had little leg room and slightly uncomfortable chairs to comfort them for the 11.5 hour flight. We all agree that it is gonna be a long flight back to New York in June. As we got on the plane we were greeted by gifts in our seats haha. A really nice pillow, a warm blanket (better then coach blankets), a pair of sound blocking headphones, and a red bag full of toiletries which ended up being most of our favorites because it gave us a toothbrush and toothpaste and fresh socks. Remember that we hadn’t had our luggage for the past day because of the missed flight. We all rushed to the bathroom to brush our teeth!

The other big difference was our meals. While the people in coach got to choose between noodles with red sauce and some type of chicken. We had a three course meal full of amazing food! I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.
Time for "appetizers". The soup was incredible. The salad was okay...and the rest of it was meh. I was also watching Chronicles of Narnia if you can't tell.
Main Course!! Steak and mashed potatoes! DELICIOUS!
DESSERT!! Ice cream!! Yummy! I also had some cheese haha.

And this was our pre-landing snack! Haha! So much better then peanuts :)

I was definitely glad to have a good meal. They had lots of movies to choose from as well. I had wanted to watch King’s Speech but I knew that I would fall asleep. So I ended up watching Chronicles of Narnia and part of Harry Potter. I also started Green Hornet but sleep took over and I was out. I almost finished How Does She Know but the plane landed before I could finish.
It was fun being in first class! We shall see what the flight home has in store
