I decided that at least for this part of the trip I would just have a photo journal. But I first wanted to mention how the hotel kept on keeping us unimpressed. They had AMAZING food offered for breakfast but it was EXTREMELY expensive. Here’s a picture of my $7 bowl of cereal… (luckily we had a $7 voucher from the airlines) but it was a bummer that, that was all I got to eat.
And now let's take a trip back to New York and you can travel with my pictures :)
To start off, we of course had to get on the Subway:
It gave me quite the leg workout. Trying to make sure I didn't fall over whenever the subway started and stopped. And you can imagine how hard it is to cram 42 people onto the same subway before the doors closed. We left a few people behind at certain points haha.
We started off in the M&M store! It was three stories tall! There was so to look and possibly by. But I decided to save my souvenir money :)
Of course I had to try some New York pizza! I knew I'd get in trouble if I didn't!
Times Square was a must!
I was quite bummed that the Disney Store was closed.
We took a quick walk through Central Park! So pretty! I wanted to break out into song: "How does she know that you love her" from Enchanted.
Rockefeller Center. Most people were excited because I think 30 Rock is filmed here or based or or something. That didn't excite me to much.
Kind of a dark picture, but this is Central Station! Where we caught the Subway to head back to the airport.
The New York Stock Exchange, it was GIANT!
Oh and of course we had to see the Bull. One guy in our group was determined to find it. He asked a whole bunch of people for directions.
This was apparently on the ground by the Twin Towers on 911. It's one of the few things that survived. It had a flame that I think is always lit next to it.
We ended with the 9-11 memorial. It was a strange feeling to be there. I had trouble not picturing being there on the day it happened. I know that I can't possibly know how people felt but it was kind of unreal to actually be there. They were in the process of building the big monument.
Overall New York was incredible! It was exhausting though because we saw all that in like 4 hours! Lots of "walking with a purpose". Hopefully soon I can update you on more of my trip. Like flying first class, Petra, Wadi Rum, and Eliat (which is where I am now). I think now it is time for me to get some sleep. That is one negative thing...sleeping has been really difficult. I've only gotten about 3-5 hours of sleep every night. I'm hoping that changes soon!
No sunburn yet either! Yay! Hope everything back home is good :)

Hm...how does one blow a fuse in the hotel room?
