I liked the City of David. I dunno if I was just more awake and so I was comprehending more of what being said or what but I didn't get annoyed by the lecturing and everything. We started in this area that had old houses and synagogues and all those usual ruins. Then we walked to this "pool", obviously it was dried up haha but it was one of the largest ritual immersion baths in Jerusalem. OH and before that we went through the dry tunnels. There is something called Hezzekiahs tunnel but it has water in it up to your knees and it takes fourty-five minutes and it's really small. I was really afraid to go into the dry tunnels at first because of how I dealt with the caves yesterday but for some reason I was fine today. Once you see the pictures you might understand my confusion. They were super narrow tunnels, but they had a pretty high roof. I dunno why I didn't get claustrophobic like yesterday but it was fun! Here are some pics:
Into the tunnels we go!
This is how narrow it got!
This is the pool, or at least part of it. haha
This is where people would collect money by the temples. It would've been where Jesus got mad at the people selling things and threw their tables and what not.
Grr...It didn't rotate this picture for some reason...but these steps they are pretty sure Jesus walked on because you had to walk on these steps to enter the temple!!! We walked where Jesus walked!!
The original entrance to the temple.
The Old City.
This is some ruins of a house. We weren't supposed to take pictures but I took one before I knew that rule!
Dinner was lousy again, not as bad as last night but still lousy. This place serves the same exact food every night. It's really frustrating. I eat stuff...but not much and I'm getting really sick of it. The place before this had so much variety! I miss that...
Only one more day of touring left!! Tomorrow is packed full of Jesus stuff :) Hope everyone at home is doing awesome! See you in a few days!
